Battery Preparation Instructions

  • Follow these safety steps to prepare your batteries for recycling:

    1. Tape over battery terminals for non-alkaline batteries

    2. Wrap batteries individually in plastic wrap

    3. Place in separate bags if bringing multiple batteries

    4. Damaged batteries must be individually sealed in plastic bags

    5. Alkaline batteries require no special preparation

UPS Batteries

  • Portable charging devices and power banks

Alkaline Household Batteries

  • AA, AAA, C, D, and 9V household batteries
  • Standard rate (no special preparation required)
