Battery Preparation Instructions

Follow these safety steps to prepare your batteries for recycling:

Tape over battery terminals for non-alkaline batteries

Wrap batteries individually in plastic wrap

Place in separate bags if bringing multiple batteries

Damaged batteries must be individually sealed in plastic bags

Alkaline batteries require no special preparation

Batteries We Cannot Accept

For safety and regulatory reasons, we cannot accept these battery types:

Vape Batteries - Fire hazard due to unknown manufacturing quality
Car Batteries - We do not have automotive battery recycling capability
Leaking UPS Batteries - Safety hazard, cannot be processed
Home Backup Batteries - Large residential backup systems not accepted
Electric Vehicle (EV) Batteries - Require specialized EV recycling facilities
